Frequently asked questions about rustproofing treatments
What's the difference between permanent and annual rustproofing?
Permanent rustproofing is applied once and offers long-lasting protection, with a transferable 10-year warranty. Penetr-Oil® annual treatment, on the other hand, must be renewed every year and penetrates deep into joints and cavities to stop or slow down existing rust.
My car is new, do I really need a rustproofing treatment?
Yes. Even new vehicles are exposed to moisture, salt and mud from their very first season. A good rustproofing treatment prevents rust from forming in the first place, and extends the vehicle’s life.
Does permanent treatment damage my vehicle's components?
No. The products used do not harm rubber, plastic or electrical components. They are designed to be safe and long-lasting.
Should I prepare my vehicle before a rustproofing treatment?
Underbody cleaning is recommended, especially in winter. But don’t worry: our team will take care of everything that’s needed for optimal application.
Does Penetr-Oil® anti-rust drip or stain my driveway?
No. Unlike some products, Penetr-Oil® is clean, won’t run, and won’t damage surfaces. It’s also more environmentally friendly
Is permanent treatment enough for the life of the vehicle?
It offers excellent long-term protection. However, regular checks are recommended to ensure that everything remains in good condition. In some cases, an annual top-up treatment can reinforce protection
